OneNote Manager ("the app") is a tool for browsing and editing your own Microsoft OneNote content. This policy explains what we store and why. We aim to hold the minimum data needed to run the service.
Account information
When you create an account we store your email address and an encrypted password hash through our authentication provider, Supabase. We use this only to sign you in and to send account emails (confirmation and password resets).
Your OneNote content
To read and edit your notebooks, you connect your Microsoft account. Microsoft returns an access token that is held server-side to make requests to the Microsoft Graph API on your behalf. We do not copy, store, or index the contents of your OneNote notes on our servers — note content is fetched live from Microsoft and shown to you, then discarded.
App data we store
We store the items you star (their OneNote id and display name) and your settings (preferences such as your title prompts and default folder), scoped privately to your account with row-level security so other users cannot access them.
AI title generation
Optional AI features (title generation, summaries, cleanup) run against a local Ollama model on the machine hosting the app. Note text used for these features is not sent to any third-party AI service by the app.
Third parties
We rely on Supabase (accounts and database) and Microsoft (OneNote access). Your use of Microsoft OneNote is also governed by Microsoft's privacy terms.
Data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated app data (stars and settings) at any time. Disconnecting your Microsoft account revokes the app's access to your OneNote.
